Chemical Reactions

I've come to believe that every person that's written into our life story impacts us just like a chemical reaction. Depending on what two are mixed & how, the slightest change can occur, and in some miraculous cases, a wildly passionate combustion can ignite dormant components in us that we didn't even know existed before. Sometimes, only one element changes completely, while the other remains the same when the two come into contact. Every soul that we meet serves a purpose. Although we may not fall head over heels in love with everyone, it's second nature to feel something tingle inside when another person has the courage to share their truth with us. I may be light years off, but I think that's why eye contact is so extremely intimidating. We're afraid that something in another person's eyes might set ablaze something in our soul that we've always tried to ignore.
