Kiss My Soul with the Sun
I love opening the blinds and letting the light in. There's something so breathtaking in how the sun, although it has the power to destroy, chooses to be the light that builds. It blesses the trees with it's warmth in order to help them grow. It doesn't force itself where it doesn't belong, instead it graciously appears. It dries up tear-kissed cheeks and kisses the ocean waters. It understands that every season is not his own, so it makes way for others. It is my theory, that the sun gains its power by candidly allowing the darkness to be seen. Instead of trying to suppress that darkness, the sun goes down providing an escape. It grieves publicly, unapologetically, and without remorse. This is great power. Everyday we should wake up and pray that we can be more like the sun and that we can be that light that shines on others when midnight lasts a bit too long.
