Resistants
They tell us to be ourselves, but then tell us we're being inappropriate if we post photos in swimsuits. What they don't know is that we're beachbums who love the sun, the cameras, our friends, and the serenity of the ocean. They say we should constantly be learning, but when we travel "too much" (whatever the hell that means), they say we need to sit still sometimes. Little do they know, we're studying culture & learning how to live humbly. They say be true to who you are, but call us party animals. They don't see us work to the bone all week long, study on the train home, and skip weekday events with friends to make sure we keep our GPAs at an acceptable level. All that's visible is the weekend "out of control" behavior, when all we want to do is dance and feel alive inside. We have goals. We have dreams. And we are achieving them. It simply doesn't look they way they think it should. Here's a solution, let's all be chameleons; let them tell it, we don't know who we are anyway.
