Like Fine Wine
If I could sum up my year in a quote I've heard along the way, "Those that change the world are those that desperately yearn to get out in it!"
In summation, I have ridden camels in the Middle East and watched the workers with a keen eye to understand there plight. I've sat in the crowd at fashion week in Paris and then walked outside onto the Champs Elysee to hear the protests and civil unrest of the oppressed. I chatted with Big Ben in London and subsequently got berated by a homeless women for not giving her enough pounds. I watched my brother say I'll care for you forever to his beautiful wife in Tennessee and another brother follow his dreams in New Jersey. I screamed to the top of my lungs on a roller coaster with 2 best friends from 2 different walks of life in Vegas. I tasted Mexico in the middle of Oakland and caught a little boy peeking up my skirt on the Golden Gate Bridge, (sneaky sneaky)! I strolled through Michelle Obama's garden. I marched on the capital for our daughters' rights and danced with Luke Brian in Baltimore. I mastered pole fitness, and I accepted the responsibility of being a Master of Business Administration with grace and accountability. In this one year, I saw the world in a way that I was so blind to before.
